LONDON TO PARIS RIDE

OUR ROUTE TAKES US FROM LONDON'S TRAFALGAR SQUARE TO THE HEART OF PARIS. CYCLING THROUGH STUNNING COUNTRYSIDE AND QUIET COUNTRY ROADS. BELOW IS AN ITINERARY OF THE DAYS, ROUTES AND DISTANCES. 

A link at the bottom of the page (once registration is open) will take you to relevant websites to register for the ride, book transport and accommodation. Please note there are limited places. Transport details for the ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe and the Eurostar train back to London should be booked in advance of the ride.

Approximate travel and accommodation costs for the ride:
1) Newhaven to Dieppe Crossing: £28.00 (Pp including 1 bicycle)
2) Accommodation in Beauvais: £40.00 (will be booked as a group, once final numbers have been confirmed)
3) Eurostar from Paris Gare du Nord to London St Pancras: £88.00 (remember to book a bicycle on too)


DAY 1: LONDON TO NEWHAVEN
FRIDAY 13 JULY. RIDE STARTS AT 4:00PM
DISTANCE: 57MILES (92KM)

Our challenge begins from Trafalgar Square at 4pm, heading south en route to the coast at Newhaven. The route takes us through East Grinstead and Lewes before reaching the coast. The distance is 57miles. From Newhaven we catch the ferry to Dieppe for our first overnight stop.

DAY 2: DIEPPE TO BEAUVAIS
SATURDAY 14 JULY. RIDE STARTS AT 5:00AM
68 MILES (109KM)

We arrive early into Dieppe at 5am. Heading south along Avenue Verte du Pays de Bray. This wonderful stretch of the Avenue Verte transports you from Dieppe across the Pays de Bray, a stunning part of Normandy, with rich farmlands stetching across wide green rolling hills arriving into Beauvais at around lunch time.

DAY 3: BEAUVAIS TO PARIS
SUNDAY 15 JULY. RIDE STARTS 8:00AM
73 MILES (117KM)

Our final day of cycling and the big push to Paris! We are still treated to some stunning countryside all the way up to our lunch spot by the River Seine at Triel-sur-siene After lunch we follow the river down through the suburbs until we reach Versailles and then head into the centre of Paris. From here it’s a short ride before reaching our finishing point at the Eiffel Tower!

DAY 3: PARIS TO LONDON ON THE EUROSTAR
SUNDAY 15 JULY. TRAIN DEPARTS 4:13PM

After lunch and an afternoon break in Paris we will make our way to the Gare du Nord station to catch the Eurostar home arriving at St Pancras or Ebbsfleet. We have estimated a departure of around 4pm, however it is up to you when you'd like to head back to the UK. We'd advise not booking a train earlier than 4:13pm to give us enough time to get into Paris and rest.

**Warm cycling clothing should include jackets / gloves / arm & leg warmers. Often the weather is very cold when leaving the ferry on Day 2 and cycling early mornings. Having layers of clothing on will also help to keep you warm.

Casual Clothing (for when not cycling these can be mailed to the accommodation in Beauvais, if you'd rather not carry large cycle bags)
