Arrive at 09:30, meet your fellow riders, have yourself a coffee, pastry, breakfast and get ready for a chilled roll-out from 10:00 onwards.
The mid-winter cooler is a super-chilled ride with the emphasis on the social aspect. We'll make a stop for a warming tea/coffee/bun and to re-group at the fully original Tea Hut around 11km (NB cash only).
After a spin along sweeping gravel trails and a few surprisingly punchy hills in the Forest - swing back to BLOQs for a delicious apres-ride lunch, to re-group and re-connect.
After lunch - we'll roll back into town via the wild and scenic Hackney Marshes and the QE Olympic Park.

You are responsible for your own safety and decisions for the duration of the ride.
You must wear your own quality cycle helmet which conforms to the latest safety standards.
Be sure to familiarise yourself with the route features, profiles and trail and road conditions. Gradients and terrain will be impacted by recent weather conditions - check the weather forecast.
A good level of fitness and riding skills is required. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate skill and capability to safely complete all or part of the suggested route. Adapt the route to suit your ability and preferences.
The suggested route uses and crosses public roads where you'll encounter traffic (cars, HGV's, buses et al) where extra care is required. You must have the necessary skill to negotiate these sections confidently.
Part of the route follows the canal path - where extra care is needed - especially where you encounter other users (stop and pass safely where necessary).
Take care throughout and take extra care on climbs and descents with very slippery, muddy, uneven and rutted surfaces.
Please avoid bunching together in groups of more than 4-5. The route is shared with other users: walkers, horse riders, dogs! Give way and be respectful when passing. Ring your bell to warm them you are approaching.
The suggested route includes a few short segments where cycling is not permitted. Mindful of other users e.g. hikers - you must use your discretion to decide when you should get off your bike and walk or skip these segments.
A gravel bike or mountain bike with a minimum tyre width of 32mm - pref 38mm - with tread pattern suited to a variety of off-road terrain is required.
We recommend bringing a café lock to secure your bike at café stops.
